If possible, please support the club. There are very few quality dance venues left in Newcastle. If you are able to buy a meal or a drink or two it all adds up, and supports the club who support us. The more you support the club the more likely they are to continue to host us well into the future.

Brief description of upcoming classes.

Venue: Kahibah Sports Club.

Date: Three consecutive Wednesdays of Modern Jive, from Wednesday July 7th.

(This is a commitment to a 3-week block, see below regarding ticket transfer option).

Time: 6.30pm – 9.00pm

Format:

6.00pm – Doors open- please arrive early, particularly on night one. The check-in process is super easy!

Music is on at 6.00pm for practice/warm-up. We regularly hear how students want more social dancing. You now have that opportunity, and if possible we strongly encourage you to make the most of our social series, including dance time from 6pm-6.30pm.

The door will not be manned after 6.30pm. If you have to arrive after 6.30pm please wait outside until staff can attend to you.

6.30pm – 7.15pm Ice-breaker Class (suitable for beginners).

7.15pm – 9.00pm Freestyle/social dancing practice!

We may do some social mixers-e.g. mini-marathon or other fun activities to bring everyone together.

Due to limited numbers under our COVID Safety Plan, no drop-in attendance is permitted and no spectators are allowed, sorry.

Registration: Students who haven’t already done so, you need to open a danceconvention account and then register online. Perhaps consider opening an account in advance if you don’t already have an account. Many would already have an account from registering for previous Modern Jive and West Coast Swing series, or our past major events, e.g. Swing Escape and/or Sea Breeze.

Remember you won’t see the event on danceconvention until we publicise it. Events are open for registration from the middle of the prior month.

Numbers are limited and we are trying to keep the lead/follow ratio as even as possible.

Cost: $52.50 for 3 consecutive Wednesday nights.

This includes $1.50 per person danceconvention fee. Credit card incurs an additional PayPal fee of 2.6% plus 30c.

A complimentary video recap of all routines is included. Recap videos will be emailed out after week 3. You can start your own library or access via mobile phone in class!

If you would like a video sooner than week 3, please text me on 0418 679 048 so we can monitor demand and potentially adapt our video support process.

We have a strictly no refunds policy.

If you can’t attend for any reason. You are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else of the same role- e.g. follower for follower, leader for leader (one, two or three nights). The person selling the ticket is responsible for any payment arrangements (i.e. they pay you). Of course you have the option to gift it. Either way we need to update danceconvention.

If on-selling, once payments are sorted, please confirm with us, that has taken please. Finally, the person taking over the ticket needs to contact Adrian on 0418 679 048 to arrange online registration. We must maintain updated electric records of all attendees for NSW Health.

Your place will only be confirmed upon registration, receipt of payment and staff approval. We need to manage the limited numbers carefully in line with our NSW Health Covid plan approved by club.

Payment can be made either by Osko transfer (no fee) or credit card via PayPal (Paypal fee charge 2.6% plus 30c). Credit card transactions instantly pays for your registration. If you transfer simply choose ‘wire transfer’ option and then text me advising of transfer, on 0418 679 048.
