Join us for an incredible weekend of Modern Jive centered on learning, connection, fun, and social dancing. Seabreeze is crafted to enhance your skills, boost your dance confidence, and immerse you in the vibrant social dance scene of Modern Jive.
The atmosphere is welcoming, professional, friendly, and laid-back. Our mission is straightforward: practical learning, genuine progress, and a fantastic quality weekend sharing experiences with dancers of all levels from both near and far.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll enjoy top-notch workshops, ample opportunities for social dancing, and moments to relax and chill and/or opportunities to engage with fellow dancers off and on the floor and check the beautiful surrounding area. Find a balance that works for you!
What to Expect:
Seven hours of practical workshops aimed at enhancing your dance skills. A strong emphasis on clear, actionable techniques that you can directly incorporate into your social dancing. Experience lots of social dancing throughout the weekend, allowing you to implement and consolidate your newfound skills, forge connections, and enhance your dance floor confidence.
With two fantastic venues, including a picturesque waterfront Soiree on Friday night (Tinta Belmont) and the remainder of the weekend at Warners Bay Theatre—boasting a spacious high quality dance floor, great air con, large stage, ample seating; an ideal professional learning atmosphere. The theatre is across the street from the a modern and spacious pub (with accomodation), and is also near countless cafes, restaurants and shops and located a stones' throw from beautiful Lake Macquarie foreshore and jetty area- a great chill zone!

The Experience
Friday Night Waterfront Soiree (tentative schedule but unlikely to change)
Kick off the weekend in style! We encourage you to arrive by 5:15 pm to enjoy the sunset! All participants will enjoy a complimentary cocktail on arrival, as you savour breathtaking view over Lake Macquarie at TINTA Belmont. From 6:00 pm, delight in three hours of hearty canapés, dessert (and supper!) creating a satisfying and relaxed social dance ambiance that continues until 11:00 pm—the ideal way to start your weekend!

Saturday Workshops (open level)
Sleep in or explore/stroll the lake, and prepare to dedicate Saturday to learning, progress, and enhancing your dance skills! Workshops commence at a very civilised time of 11:00 am, designed to be engaging, and immediately applicable on the social floor. You’ll develop your skills throughout the day, with numerous opportunities to practice and reinforce what you’ve learned, including between workshops. Video recaps available.
Sunday Workshops (open level)
Sunday continues your learning while also providing time to consolidate, connect, and relish the final moments of the weekend. Enjoy more workshops, more dancing (between workshops), and a chilled conclusion to the Seabreeze experience. Many dancers opt to stay on Sunday night for a post-event dinner and social gathering—a cherished tradition that comes highly recommended if you can stay. The post-event venue will most likely be the pub across the road, but final details will be confirmed closer to the event.

We are thrilled to welcome Emma and Zac from Le Step on the Gold Coast. Renowned for their clear and fun teaching style, practical approach, and strong connection based tuition.
